Righto, it seems that "Madagaster" has some protection called MacroVision's RipGuard Protection, that's why DVD shrink won't copy... I've got hold of DVDDecrypter, but when i encypt it to a folder, and then open the file, DVd shrink reports "invalid data VETS_08_01_VOBgraham wrote:
Righto, bought the kids "Madagaster" the other day, and i want to make a copy, so that the kids can keep their sticky, jam ridden fingers off the original!! So, I decided to use DVD shrink, I popped in the disc, and let it perform the encoding.. However, i always come to the same problem.. " Data error (cyclic redundancy check)." just before it transfers the files to a blank DVD.. I googled the problem08_ and found that this is sometimes due to dirt, grease etc, over the DVD, and that i should clean the DVD and try again. But I've tried this, and I still get the same problem! Is "Madagster" copyable? have anyone reported the same problem? Graham
Try getting hold of a copy of DVDDecrypter, that often copies discs that shrink can't, then use shrink to make the film fit a single layer disc.
