Tracym askedHi tried to do this and didnt work, I am on XP home and i was ok with
I am wondering if anyone here could help me, I used to click on
folders on my pc and it would display all the pics in front of me or
one click would show a preview, I seem to have somehow lost this
feature, can anyone help me sort it out, bit of a pain in neck when i
upload 100 pics from camera then have to go open everyone to find
what i am looking for.
View -> Thumbnails
You can set this ftom the View menu, a dropdown on the button bar, or
the (right-click) context menu of the open folder.
If this doesn't fix it, can you tell us which operating system you're
using
(XP Pro, XP home, 98SE, etc)
previews up until before Christmas then it just changed and dont know
why,
I tried emailing microsoft and other places got no replys at all.
You havn't by any chance disabled the windows metafile viewing in anWouldnt have a clue there, Lol
effort to stop the windows metafile exploit ?
Mike means did you apply a security patch, or let Windows Update do it?
Is Thumbnails in the View Menu, but not working, or is it not there at
all?
If you right-click the folder icon (for one of the folders with pictures),
select Properties, then the Customise tab, what's in the Role dropdown?
(sorry I've not got XP here, I'm working from memory). You want the one
for lots of pictures, but you could try setting it to Album (few
pictures), hen set the View to filmstrip, see if that works.
If you're still getting no luck, try asking in alt.pcnews which has
several experts answering PC problems.
