Is there any news on whats happened to the eagles and the eggs?

The first one didn't hatch and was tossed out of the nest. The second didn't
hatch either and the egg was broken yesterday and the contents eaten. The
consensus is that either the parents are now too old, or that they have some
type of environmental poisoning that has affected the embryo in the egg. The
nest is now empty.
Got the local paper tonight and an article confirmes your news.
After watching for so long how sad and how cruel nature is.
