Hello West Cliff
Freeserve/Wanadoo Pay as you Go. All calls at local rate. As mentioned you
might have trouble sending mail as a Virgin subscriber, but no trouble
collecting it. What you can do is display your e-mail address as the Virgin
address and use the Wanadoo address and password to authorise the send in
mail, advanced settings.
www.wanadoo.co.uk leading to http://www.wanadoo.co.uk/time/payg/
When you have chosen your account name etc, download the install *.ins file,
don't run it, and don't open it from the location as it tells you to.
Download to Desktop, change the file extension (rename) to wanadoo.txt. Then
open the file which will open in Notepad and read the access telephone
number, and the pop, smtp server addresses. Set up a Dial up Networking
Connection on the laptop and the Mail Account manually. As long as you dial
in once every 90 days the account will remain live. If it expires you can
resurrect the account for up to 60 days after that 90 days on the website.
Still providing accommodation? I have just got out of it, fed up with
government legislation!
