Can't help you there, the only time I look at the differences between CPUs
is when i'm thinking of upgrading, so as the last time I looked into it a
Intel P4 3Ghz was my best option. I'm a little out of date as to what is
best now, as there have been many CPUs released since I last looked.

My current desktop is still pretty decent albeit almost 4 years old. (AMD
Athlon 64 3200+, 1.25GB DDR, 2 x 250 GB HD, Nvidia 6600).
I was alright with processor specs when they gave the Ghz, now it's all
different speeds.
I get bored at work a lot and have lots of time so thought I could get a
laptop and maybe consider starting a little business that I've thought about
for a while. Failing that I caould still just play games!!!>
