In 1993 photographer ANTHONY JONES was in Trafalgar Square,
photographing a rally organised by the Anti-Racist Alliance.
One of the speakers was the Labour member of Parliament for Brent East,
who at the time had been nicknamed 'Red Ken' by the popular press.
The intervening thirteen years proved very fortunate for 'Red Ken',
now the mayor of London, Ken Livingstone.
ANTHONY JONES whose classic black and white images of the city have in
the last year been exhibited at the Barbican Library and a major art
fair in London, will, for the first time, be showing his portrait of
the mayor at the London Photograph Fairs.
The London Photograph Fairs, now in its eighteenth year, has become
known for the quality of the nineteenth and early twentieth century
photographs, encourages contemporary photographers to take part.
