while at the same time again raising the subject of extended pub opening
hours.
What seems to have been completely forgotten in this debate is the wide and
virtually unchecked availablility of alcohol in supermarkets and corner
shops. Surely this must play just as large a part in the drunken behaviour
of many as the opening hours of pubs. I cannot imagine that many of the
cans you see in the streets being carried, emptied and thrown away as litter
have come from pubs.

London Pub Walks ... There are a few posts here every now and then from people visiting London...CAMRA have come up with a new book called ... but these my have changed since publication as 24 hour opening is now legal ... A lot of pubs are opening to midnight ... (rec.crafts.brewing)
