Woolwich High Street is the scummiest place I've been in the UK (other than Blackpool)

I recently moved from Tottenham to somewhere near the Beckton/Galleons
Reach area. While living in Tottenham, I often had occasion to visit
the Wood Green high street and its shitty shopping mall. It was bad,
but it really didn't prepare me for North Woolwich. Oh my god. As
soon as I drove off of the ferry, I was assaulted with the sight of
dozens of pasty chavs and chavettes loitering around in front of the
Woolwich Leisure Centre. Things didn't improve much as I walked past
the endless parade of seedy pawn shops and everything-is-a-pound
stores. Thank god there's a river separating that place from where I
live. If someone could shut down the ferry and fill in the tunnel
with cement, all the better.
