Given the profits announced by BNFL you're a lot better off doing so ;-)

I quite agree.
Why not buy up 10 ex-Soviet redundant nuclear subs, moore them side by
side in the Wash and
use the reactors to drive large alternators instead of propellors.
That would be more than adequate to make all the unsightly windfarms
along the east Coast redundant.
