tip: dont ever move to London, or even Peterborough for that matter - a

If you read the front page report in the Echo tonight you will feel even
sicker. Traffic volume to increase by 30% over the next few years due
to 16300 new homes being built in and around Lincoln as part of
Government policy. All these households and their cars will create
further strain on a system already past its design capacity. Part of
the solution would be the proposed eastern and southern bypasses but you
can forget them in the short term. Planning permission for the eastern
bypass is 2011 so expect building to start a year to 18 months later.
The southern bypass is not even on the planning radar but is pencilled
in for 2015 at the earliest. I have commuted through the city north to
south for many years and have accepted the significant increase in
traffic volume with its associated delays and journey times.
