Did anyone see the teenagers interviewed on the day of the teachers
strike giving their opinion of it? One of them said he thought the

teachers deserved a living wage as they were "manual workers" (my
quotation marks) and deserved a living wage!

Only bettered by the teachers themselves when a group of them were
asked
why they were going on strike as their pay increase had been awarded by
an
independent arbitration board (or some such quango) and they had caused
much grief to single parents who had had to take a day off work. One of
the teachers replied he " appreciated the strike was the subject of
issues
for such parents"!
Issues??? A damn great problem for some! Nobody speaks English anymore
particularly pc teachers.
You and I shall just have to continue to shoulder the burden of
maintaining standards, innit?
I am afraid it is a cross we have to bear Harry!
