Whist on our way out of Grafty Green garden centre this afternoon a friendWas that you?
and I wandered through a door being held open for us by some old git.
"Cheers" we muttered and carried on with our conversation. I can only
imagine his deaf aid wasn't working because he went off on one about us
not thanking him - the old git was singularly unimpressed with our lack of
gratitude and told us so in no uncertain terms. Apparently because of his
selfless gesture in holding the door open I should have declared undying
praise for his selfless actions. This old fool was like a dog with a
bone - he wouldn't leave us alone, and kept on with his harrassment about
what he saw as a lack of manners.
I told him to be thankful that I was such a decent guy because most people
would have given him a slap for his rudeness, and we wandered off leaving
him blustering. What is it with some people. It's all very well going
looking for a fight when you're young and fit and scary-looking, but when
you're well into your old age.....
Sorry, I must apologise, I was not feeling well today. However you are also
lucky, I normally knee people in the groin when I am in good health.
