I know I'm not the bright spark in a box of matches (hence the nickname
Trigger alledgedly) but I don't see why people find the need to take the
piss particularly using live fish.
It happened for the third time the other night when I went to Dover
(which is in Kent) to pick up some crates of Dover Sole. A flick of a
tail fin brushed the slushy ice away and out of a crate of gutted fish
"jumps" a live fish which made me jump (I hate fish) and everyone
laughed.
The first time it happened (last year) I dropped the crate due to shock,
which brought everyone down in stitches of laughter. I thought the
trawalmen had left a live fish in the crate by mistake.
The second time it happened I was still shocked but noticed the fish was
a live trout in a crate of plaice. I can tell the difference as I am not
stupid. I guess it must have been put there by the agent's staff.
I just do not see the funny side of it. I also feel hurt that it is
always aimed at me.
How big are you?
If you are big enough, decide who is the 'ring leader', pick them up with
a gaff through the collar of their wet gear and hang them up somewhere.
It is difficult to know whose idea it is. And I don't see how violence is
going to solve it. Basically they are low skilled people who desire
entertainment an get it by protecting their position by looking down on
people and animals like fish.
