6-9 miles everyday? *** that's impressive. I did 6 miles everyday
before work. It was boring but if I missed a day I felt really bad.
Ditto, i keep making the mistake of not taking any rest though and that
can be just as bad
The most I've done is 13 miles, I was 43 and it was a breeze. But next
day I felt awful. I'll go for a 30 minute run tomorrow and see how it
feels.
15 miles is the most i have done, i do all my running in the gym on a
machine. I hate road running it really does bore me, i think the reason
i keep going on a treadmill is because i keep thinking to myself i will
just do another 500m then another etc. With road running if you are 2 or
3 miles away from home then you have got to run 2 or 3 miles home again.
I always run up an incline of about 2% - 3% as that is supposed to
replicate outside running apparently. It helps getting the calories off
quicker too
Well I did 30 minutes this morning and I'm still breathing. I took it easy
and will increase the distance each week and run every other day. That
should avoid injury, hopefully :-)
I had a treadmill in the garage at home once which I found very boring. A
mouse chewed up the works so that conveniently put a stop to that. I went
to the gym at the Ashford International Hotel for many years and really liked
their treadmills. There was loads to watch and it was easy to measure
performance.
I wonder how long it will be before I give up? If I do I know I'll never
start again!
