That's a simplistic argument which isn't logical for if "God" didn't create the Earth or the Universe then who or what did? The general consensus cop-out from what I've read is that its "always been there" which conveniently gets round a fundamental law of physics that matter cannot be created. Philosophers and scientists have been debating this question for hundreds of years and have not come up with the answer. I doubt whether we will on ulk.
I think we can safely say that it wasn't created over six days and on the seventh day God rested.
It certainly is not a cop-out to state that the universe has always existed. You are looking at the statement from a tellurian point of view when you state that matter cannot be created and this is scientific fallacy.
I say its a cop-out as no one has yet come up with another explanation but that doesn't mean there isn't one.
And I don't think the laws of physics change if I move to Mars or any where else. However if you can point me to the scientific evidence that matter can be created I'll stand corrected. Or are you just hypothesising? If so perhaps you shouldn't dismiss the "God" option so readily or your statement below is negated.
But in any event, the onus is on the OP to substantiate his claim with evidence, not for me to provide evidence to gainsay it.
