Does anyone here know about the history of these gravel pits ? I seem to
recall that they were given to the council, some years ago on the
understanding that there was to be no commercial exploitation of the area.
Indeed I recall someone planning a cafe/toilet there some years go, to be
refused permission on those grounds. Anyone know how or where I can find
this information please.
I have googled till I went blue in the face !.
