What you do when you catch him/her is entirely
your business and I flatly refuse to offer advice.
Could I recommend that video evidence is difficult to deny and if you are
videoing the outside of your own property, you have every right to do so.
A photo of the thief 'in action' secured to one of the following nights
bottles may be a bit of an off-putter for mr 'light fingers'..........

be it from me to advise violence but I scared the crap
out of my own milk thief and he hasn't been back since
;-)
But, seriously, I advise the initial
preventative moves if appropriate. It causes a lot
less disturbance, even if it is less fun ;-)
