that sounds like the windows instructions, I think he meant the instructions in the router manual. I did mine using my PalmOS handheld as that was the only wireless device I had to hand (oops forgive the pun) at the time. Any way there is no need to go through the windows wizard at all.

Ok- I've been flash so far.
Got the NTL onto ethernet connection off of the USB. Needs to drink more coffee.
Managed to install the Wireless G router, without killing anyone round me in a fit of temper.
Managed to set up the network with laptop and desktop configured on it. OK, when I put the laptop on it states the "Thios network is configured for open access. Info....visible to others."
Question: How to I make it a closed access so only my laptop and desktop are on it and no-else can get on from outside, neighbours etc. ? I am using Windows XP home on desktop, Windows XP Pro on laptop.
Tell the truth; you haven't read the instructions have you?;p
I read the instructions, followed them all. Used the walkthrough and a USB flash drive so that both machines had all the same info but then found that I had no encryption. mm Weird.
