that sounds like the windows instructions, I think he meant the instructions in the router manual. I did mine using my PalmOS handheld as that was the only wireless device I had to hand (oops forgive the pun) at the time. Any way there is no need to go through the windows wizard at all.

Managed to set up the network with laptop and desktop configured on

Question: How to I make it a closed access so only my laptop and
desktop are on it and no-else can get on from outside, neighbours
etc. ? I am using Windows XP home on desktop, Windows XP Pro on laptop.

I read the instructions, followed them all. Used the walkthrough and a USB flash drive so that both machines had all the same info but then found that I had no encryption. mm Weird.
