It's the router you need to configure. Normally you have an IP address you
browse to via Outlook Express which gets you into the configuration settings
for the router. Somewhere in there you should be able to set a WEP
encryption key. This will close the network to all traffic except machines
using the appropriate key(s). I don't know your particular router,
obviously, but it's normally done by you putting in a password that means
something to you, and the software kicks back a key. Copy the key down.
When you next try to connect from the laptop, it will tell you the network
is closed and ask for a key. Type in the key, and bobs your uncle.
