No one asked me where it was taken from!
I remember the sewer pipe at the north end, it made a convenient
stopping point for those joggers that needed a goal. They dug it up
some time in the eighties I think, could have been later. There used
to be a group of bare chested old men who would run regularly in all
weathers up and down the beach, they used to curse the dogs I remember.
One of them told me that the beach was exactly two thirds of a mile
long, rock pool to sewer pipe.
