I noticed that Steve's local groups mentioned this webcam
http://www.northtyneside.gov.uk/cams/tyne.htm which covers the pier
(although it usually misses boats going out southbound)
There are also
http://www.interv8.co.uk/webcam/index.htm?cam=east and
http://www.interv8.co.uk/webcam/index.htm?cam=west if you want to check
on
the ferries
and finally
http://www.interv8.co.uk/webcam/index.htm?cam=west for those that need to
check the surf/tide
Enjoy

I just had my wrist slapped by my provider for 'using too much'.
I traced it back to using the North Tyneside (streaming) webcam and
leaving
it on for ages.
