Balamory Business Plan for North Shields Fish Quay

Nobody seems to know what's the story is for the North Shields Quay.
I've been trying to come up with some solutions myself.

The first and biggest problem seems to be the declining fish industry.
Why can't they pay the fishermen to take fish from fish farms and drop
them out at sea? They have tree planting campaigns, why can't they
restock the sea with home grown fish?

Without a real industry the fish quay becomes a kind of theme park for
something that no longer exists. If you don't have real people down
there landing fish you loose the character of the place never mind the
smells.

A large part of the fish quay area now seems devoted to luxury flats.
The odd thing is that you never see any of these people, where do they
spend all of there time? No doubt living it up in Wilkies Cafe. I
think they should paint all the flats bright orange, yellow, blue .
Not just the flats but all the buildings, then the Balamory effect or
the Miami effect would come into play. it would become a major
location for films, tourism would explode, they would have to re-open
the car park of course.
The Caleys building, already a striking white and aqua blue, is already
leading the way. Why not turn it into a fishing museum? Just while we
are waiting for the stocks to build up.

Also the should try and develop a business area for some of the new
media technologies a bit like Ouseburn, I can see it now, these
business love places with a bit of colour
