The Metro hasn't been the same since the Sunderland loop was opened, most of the "operational difficulties" are in the Sunderland area.
The Mackems are such an insular lot that they don't like to leave their town (oops city) anyway.
Save some money Nexus and do the right thing.

I think all the metro lines are loss making. The only thing keeping them going are the councils' grants.
