Time for a return?

Like most of the one time regulars here, I have not been posting
because of the quagmire of inanity, profanity and excess proliferated
by the trolls, spammers, MI5 victims, godsquadders and masonbators
(okay, Dodgy, spell it your own way). But since Brian was brave enough
to surface to talk about something of local interest (the Frinton TV
programme), I was wondering how some of you others were doing.

Down the bottom of a cliff just outside Chelmsford are there the
mouldering remains of a once wreckless young leaper? Nearby a young
guitarist strangled by her own strings while trying to master "Anji"?
Above a lone figure in black leather forever condemned to ride the A12
dodging the late night lorries? Further north over the border in
Suffolk a certain lady buried under a pile of Heinz cans in Tescos
while trying to embroider while steering her mobility scooter. Down in
Jaywick a mother hounded by her ravenous young woolflets? Well okay so
Brian survived culture may yet be revived! Just think at one time we
were shy about coming top of the monthly posting stats.

Oh no, you are not going to get away without a mini - rant. Anybody
been to Clacton since the town centre "improvements" have been
completed? I won't detail them - I would probably choke. How can a
local council (Tendring ABCs try to blame the County now it has turned
out even worse than the local residents had predicted it would) do
such a thing to their own town? So we've got some different street
furniture, we've got off-white paving stones, we've got hundreds of
new signs, we've got miles of new yellow lines, we've got 14 extra
traffic wardens (each with a quota to fill), we got dozens of small
businesses going bust for lack of customers, we have a high street
that resembles a ghost town most of the time, we've got the most
stupidly designed fountain that rarely works, but WE AIN'T GOT
ANYWHERE TO PARK. We also haven't got the 2.8 MILLION quid they spent
f*cking up OUR town centre. One last thing we haven't got is anybody
from any council department prepared to stand up and say " Sorry, we
got it wrong! I resign."
