Ah, connectors. The speed controller will only be easily removeable
if the wires to it go through plugs and sockets. Plugs and sockets
can get water in them, too.

It was on full speed and tried getting it around a toll bar and it tipped on it's
side and was never quite right after that.Made a funny noise, I think from
the axel and lost speed something awful.

So it sounds like you damged something. You might have more than one
fault, you know.

I've had it in to reperation.

It came back as it it now. Low speed only on flat surface.

Yes, it could be the brakes. It could be lots of things.
You've got to have a _reason_ to suspect a particular fault.

The fault-finding process is a sytem of inquiry, observation,
and elimination. It's not guesswork. I am not psychic.

Problem: cart goes slowly.

Possible causes:
Power (electicity) supply
Power (electricity) controller
Motor(s)
Transmission
Brakes.
External causes (You're dragging a tree/moose/cyclist behind
you/ you have a traffic cone/tree stuck under the wheel arch.)

Yet suddenly, up hill, it's on full speed again.

So it's not (likely to be) the brakes. Brakes are either on or off.
(Note: some braking is done by the motor speed controller.)
(Since you've crashed it, test the brakes.)

It's also not (likely to be) the transmission. Axles, gears, bearings
and such run freely, or they do not. (Since you've crashed it, it
wouldn't hurt to look for damage.)

It's also not (likely to be) the power supply. Batteries are charged
or they are not. (The battery charger indications helped to eliminate
the batteries.)

It's also not (likely to be) a motor. Motors tend to run well or stop.
(Do the motors have brushes? How much use have they had?)

The power controller (motor speed controller) can produce all sorts
of strange symptoms as it has a lot of ways of going faulty.

Ok. I'll ask him read your posts. He'll be home late tomorrow night and
then he has a gig on Sunday so it could take a while Sleeps.
