They're forecasting much snow in Cumbria tonight. Don't know if it'll

What temperature is it down with you? Should be fairly close to
freezing.

Max of 1.4C today up here. Most of the the 6cm of powder snow that fell
yesterday is still here and the light covering this morning hasn't
shifted
in the shade. Temp currently steady for the last hour at -2C.

The rain radar is showing a band of heavy something about half way over
northern Ireland on the 1630 image.

The Met Office website had crashed but appears to be back up now.

I love snow, but I'm a little worried this time,

They have already closed all three schools up here for tommorow, if
nothing much comes of the event there could be some egg on faces. I
guess
they can only work on the advice from the Met Office and Highways Agency
tho'. I'd much rather the decision was made in the morning, there is a
very effcient telephone system in place for letting people know the
schools are shut or going to shut early.

as I have to drive up the motorway on Friday to see customers and spend
the weekend in Edinburgh to see my son's concert.

Might not be too bad by Friday and over the week end, cold and a bit
breezy but nothing major. But don't blame me if it all changes! Sunday
is
a long way into the future for accurate weather forecasting.

Poor Steve might be left on his own down here to fend for himself a bit
longer than planned!

I'm sure he can manage a cup 'o soup with bread & butter...

-0. +1. +2. degrees, slippy, drive slowly.

Edith.
Could you parcel the weather up and send some over here. At present every
day is over 32 degrees and the humidity over 90% I could suffer a bit of
cold weather.
Ray
At 32 + degrees I'd be living in the bath tub, Ray. That's too hot for me.
I'll just get farmer Brown to fill a container with snow and send it with
the first ship.
Suffering the cold is much easier than fighting heat. All you do is put 8
pairs of knickers on, 2 pairs of longjohns, 5 vests, 4 pairs of socks, 2
jumpers, scarf and earlap hat and 2 pairs of woolen gloves and run up and
down the stairs. No trouble at all.
Now you be on the jetty Monday morning at 6 am and you'll get your snow.

Edith.
