I'm on:

1g of flucloxacillin 4 times a day on an empty stomach.
1g of phenoxymethylpenicillin 4 times a day with or without food.
400mg metronidazole 3 times a day *with* food and *no* alchol.

Presumeably loperamide and dioralyte , too.

If I'm taking anything ending in -illin or -mycin, I start popping the acidophilus capsules - 2 or 3 million CFU of lactobacillus acidophilus midway between doses of antibiotics as possible, and this gives your body a chance to recover balance between the doses. It worked for me. Check with your doc for dosage, but mine worked for this 9-stone-weakling.

I don't know of a good test for dehydration - which is a sod,
cos I could do with one. But with severe dehydration, you get
low blood pressure, a rapid pulse and breathe heavily.

I don't mean to sound facetious, but I was told that if you feel thirsty, that's a good sign that you're already dehydrated.

There is a simple test - but it doesn't give clear results.
Take a pinch of skin on the back of your hand, and (if
your hand is relaxed) you should be able to pull it about 1cm. Hold it for 20s or so and let go. If you're well hydrated,
your skin will spring back into place. If your'e badly dehydrated,
it'll settle more slowly. Does that description make sense?
