Re: Islamic Colonisation of Cumbria

Why shouldn't there be somewhere for Muslims to meet in Cumbria?
After all, Islam has been present in the British Isles for at least
400 years, with records of contact with Islamic traders going back at
least 1000 years.

Islam, Christianity and Judhaism are all Abrahamic religions sharing
many of the same prophets and texts in their holy books. Christianity
was developed after (and from) Judhaism, with potential Buddhist
influences. Does that make Christianity any less "just" or potent?

Perhaps I'm misreading your original posting, but it does appear to be
a thinly veiled (if indirect) Islamophobic posting. Apologies if I
have misread your posting.

Personally, as an atheist, the whole religion thing bemuses me. I
have some sacred fluff in my pocket - anyone want to pray to it, and
contribute to the Church of Fluff?
