This was at the Workington Reds 1-1 Barrow soccer match, yesterday
afternoon.
is thinking: his body language is very interesting.... Is the ref giving him
a telling-off for something, and he's backing away?
Coincidenally, I decided to visit Workington's Tesco at about the time that
match was finishing. There were people streaming out of the ground in all
directions, and the car park was packed. I couldn't believe so many people
had decided to go shopping until I realised they were all football fans'
cars.
Not quite as bad as my last foray to Edinburgh, though. I made the serious
mistake of driving into town down Gorgie Road on a Saturday afternoon,
without checking first whether there was a Hearts match on. There was...
Took about 40 minutes for a journey that's usually about 10.... And me from
a long line of Hibs supporters too....
