So uklc is an ok place to duscuss these issues of religion? Let's see!

I have trouble with JP's use of the term "faithful" in her original
comment. Seems to me, she goes on to talk about civil and criminal laws
which apply to everyone, not just the faithful. Then JP talks about
exercising her right to voice a complaint, which doesn't necessarily
exist for women in the countries with governments that have such things
as religious head covering laws. Then she implies that people should just
move out of countries if they are opressed, as if everyone in the world
was as wealthy and mobile and "free" to move about as she is. Then she
refers to the family planning issue in the USA, which women could easily
defeat because they can speak out and they can vote. But they don't. The
idea that it takes complaining to the authorities to fix this problem is
off-track. It is the women of America who would rather follow the tenants
of their churches than vote for what is healthy for women that is the
problem in America.

I have so many issues! Are all of these comments of mine on-topic?
Because I am simply responding to JP's post, on uklc, which is part of a
discussion of what sort of religious discussions are appropriate.

Ooh you're just a mischief-maker, you are!

If I were to attempt to respond to all that I'd bore myself to death.... but you know I'm not daft enough to fall for it, don't you?

Sokay, Ally. It was me he was playing Devil's Pundit to. I felt thoroughly dizzy after reading that.
