As a scientist, it's your job be critical in your appraisal of such

Critcism can be positive.

When 100% of the evidence from instrumentation from thousands
of reports says the sky appears blue to the naked eye, and I look
up and see it appears to be blue to me, then I'm going to conclude
it appears blue. Climate change is the same.

Hmmm. Since the sky is not _actually_ blue, you seem to be
suggesting that, when it comes to climate change, we should
allow ourselves to be decieved by appearances. A strange
position to take.

Goebbels (sp?) said (something like) "even the most absurd
lie will be believed if it is repeated often enough". I think he
demonstrated that pretty well, too.

I know but that's not relevant. He was referring to lies.

Hmmm. You must wonder why I wrote it then.

There are two theses contained in that quote.
The major thesis is that: [a thing] "will be believed, if it is
repeated
often enough.
The minor thesis is that: the limit of the major thesis extends to
"even the most absurd lie".

I used that quote to attack your constant harping about the end
of the world - as you perceive it.

If you're not able to extract the meaning from a single sentence
of plain English, then I have to wonder at your ability to gain any
understanding from the Millenium Ecosystem Assessment, which
is couched in the most leaden and impervious language.

I'm reporting scientific evidence and observations.

And I'm asking you to please stop.

The reality is that those glaciers are melting in the annual
warm period.

You're so incredibly wrong about that.

Please demonstrate that.

Please read something!

Oh, but I do.

[snip my rhetoric]

The globe is a lot warmer than usual. All the data says so. And it's not
part of a natural cycle. Sorry. It's been determined to be man-made.
You're mis-informed or un-aware of current data.

Argumentum ad nauseum.

Oh Johnny! That's an absolute howler! (A billion Moslems(/Hindus)
can't be wrong?) Argumentum ad numeram.

(Just to save time,
[snip] Well that failed.

OK. I tried to make it easy for you by saying 'go see Al Gore's movie.
Really easy. But you will dismiss it as Hollywood data I presume.

Well, suffice to say I would dismiss it.

So here's your reading list for today:

Millenium Ecosystem Assessment (MA) "Ecosystems and Human Well Being:
Synthesis" Washington, DC Island Press 2005

- 1360 scientists, after 4 years of research and consultations concluded
that the world's ecosystems are in significant decline.

Wow! It's one thing to move the goalposts. It's quite another
to remove the goalposts completely!
