Oh dear! Here was I thinking of a fishing bait box. Presumably this
bait box is an Americanism?
Rex.
It is an expression used in Cumbria for lunch, probably derived from
the days when anglers took their lunch with them as well as a tin of
worms with which to use as bait. Sometimes getting them mixed up if
pissed.
Smolley
Interesting and humourous. Thanks.
As to Rex's question, over here in NA, you would bring your 'tackle box'
along with you when fishing.
You may now start making your 'tackle' jokes again.
