I must point out that it is Dame Joan who is alive and well
in Australia, and not my Grandma. I realised shortly after
posting that the position of Grandma's name, after the
great Diva and then using the female pronoun was
misleading. Grandma sang her last Wagner and Mahler Lieder
back in 1979.
