British with the attitude of 'British' pricks like you. How much of an
effort would you make towards gaining a fairly comprehensive grasp of the
language of any country you may visit? Ohhh.... that's different is it?
And when you gonna start dissecting dialects - one of the biggest problems
to those would-be English Speakers of Foreign Languages. My wife speaks
English well but loses her way amongst Cumbrians, Geordies, and
Midlanders.... But you wouldn't even make the effort would you...!

when i go abroad i make the effort to say a few words in the host country's
language,that is always appreciated,even if its just ordering drinks.
if i were to emigrate to a non english speaking country i would learn their
language...as they should a do when coming here to live.
