I've got a nice laser pointer. I can shine it out into the
garden in the dark and make a red dot on the tree, or on a
sheep. Gosh, what an exciting life it is in the country.
It was more fun in Edinburgh. We used to sit at the window
with the lights out, and shine it on the pavement on the
other side of the road, and watch passers-by looking
puzzled, especially if we moved it around. We really put
the wind up a big German Shepherd dog once - couldn't
understand this moving light point at all. My current dogs
don't even seem to notice it at all. They're no fun.

I have a laser pointer keychain thingie. But it takes these
really small expensive batteries, so I don't play with it much.
The vacuum comes with two lasers you set out to mark the end of
the area you want cleaned. It won't pass a laser beam. Cool, eh?
It also won't go down the stairs. I'm not sure how it figures it
out though.
It will automatically go 'home' to it's docking station when it
needs a recharge.
I imagine the dogs would not like it though. Might cause some
territorial disputes.
