Thirded. Hum, why have I just spent over £500 on new telly and DVD/HDD
recorder. Ah I remember the old telly died (20+ years old, but still
had cracking picture and sound, I'm going to have a go at fixing it).
New one is a 28" widescreen CRT with built in Dolby 5.1 sound. LCDs
and plasma are fing expensive and have, IMHO, poor picture quality.

The DVD/HDD recorder? Fed up of tapes getting mangled and trying to
find a tape to record the odd programme I might want actually want to
see. Tapes also take up a lot of storage space and most new material
is more readily available on DVD rather than VHS.
