It's not a 'boy thing'. I know women who are the same. The kind that go back to work 6 weeks after delivering and let dad stay at home with the baby. Some people just like taking the interesting roads that present themselves. Stopping sometimes seems like squandering.

I run out of gas about 9 PM each evening so I get both criticisms. 'You do too much!' and 'You're always lying on the couch watching TV!'. You can't make some people happy.

Some say that life is what happens while your busy looking forward to doing something else.

Some people don't like being pleased. They feel that expressing gratitude or approval somehow diminishes their control or power over the person who is trying to please them. I've known people like that all my life.
