Speculative, not confirmed.

So a healthy person would probably not have died - or even been
seriously injured - but Tomlinson died as an indirect result of his
lifestyle and pre-existing health conditions.

Misadventure.

Speculation. The video showed that Tomlinson was hit pretty hard.

He was hit with a baton that didn't seem to affect him at all.

Apart from the massive bruise on his leg. You haven't been paying
attention, have you?

I paid attention to the video of the incident, and it is entirely fair to
say that the baton strike didn't seem to affect him at all. "Didn't seem
to affect him" isn't the same as saying that it didn't leave a mark.

If you encounter a slow moving dazed looking middle aged man, and you hit
him with a baton, and it doesn't have any effect, then what conclusion
should you draw? And what action should you then take?

Probably due to the same reason, whatever soon-to-be-fatal internal
injur(ies) he allegedly received also didn't seem to affect him, as he
remonstrated with the Officers, then got up and walked away. Almost as if
he'd taken some form of analgesic.

Almost as if he was seriously ill.
