Indeed I have - and so far I have seen just a few minutes of an

The whole incident - the part that actually matters - was only a few
seconds long, everything prior to that is irrelevant. It's only your
desperate need to defend the thug concerned that prevents you from
admitting that.

OK - let's examine that statement. Let's suppose you are stood at a
bus stop with your wife. A drunken lout walks up to you and begins
f'ing and blinding at the pair of you. You ask him to stop but he
refuses and begins to make approaches to your wife. Again you ask
him to stop and move on. Again he refuses and makes to touch your
wife. At that point a passerby begins to video the incident with his
mobile phone - just in time to catch you thumping the lout and
knocking him to the ground. So - everything prior to the start of
the video is irrelevant is it? You have made an unjustified and
unprovoked attack on an innocent person who was just waiting for a
bus? What do you think? Would you look at the video and agree that
your actions were wholly unjustified, because the video did not show
what occurred prior to the thump?

So are you saying that the way in which police should respond to
political protesters, or that the level of "reasonable force" allowed
to be used by the police against in the course of a political protest,
is the same as that which a ordinary man may use in the heat of the
moment to repel the attentions of a lecherous drunk who is acting in a
menacing and morally outrageous manner towards the man's wife?

No, I am merely pointing out that to say that anything that occurred prior to the short piece of video we have of the Tomlinson incident, is irrelevant, is nonsense. It's very relevant.
