Oh dear, have you lost count? I certainly have. I bet the Justice
Minister has no idea either.
However go to http://www.statutelaw.gov.uk/ and you can have a lovely
time surfing through all the acts an' stuff that they have in their
database.
If you do come up with an answer, and can be bothered to list all
the qualifications to it, I'd be interested to know.
OK, got bored. Here's the answer.
the database contains 111 pages of listings. 110 of them have 50 pieces
of legislation each, and the last (or first) has 37. So the answer is
5,537
.
