Bought a flat screen TV last June which was very slow in changing
channels. I rang the manufacturer to see if this was a common fault but
they sent their engineers out who did agree with me and changed the main
circuit board but the fault was still there. They said it could be the
aerial and/or the reception area.

We were going to move house in a different area so I decided to wait and
see what a new location/aerial would bring and in the meantime wrote to
the supplier informing them of the situation.

We have moved and the problem still exists so I have informed the
supplier who is going to send one of their own engineers to check, in
fact it is the same firm who changed the PCB. What are my entitlements;
am I entitled to a full refund, a new TV costing the same as the
orignal - £1000, or a new TV model, equivalent to today's prices as in
general they have dropped by a couple of hundred pounds.
TIA

Was it a Tesco set? Mine does the same. Takes up to 5 seconds to change
channel.

In my experience, electronics bought from supermarkets always have a fault
of some sort.
I've had problems with items bought from Tesco, Safeways and Asda - although
they've always been very helpfull when I returned the item for e refund or
an exchange.
I wonder if it's something to do with their suppliers? Perhaps because
they're buying at a massively reduced price, they tend to get batches with
lower quality control?
