It is a typical example of Britain's punitive answer to its concept of
"justice".
It is interesting that the people who advocate that youth should be
franchised at ever younger age in regard to rights, are usually the same
people who argue that the age of responsibility should be increased.
Yes, I've also noticed that. Particulary regarding sex, where a child
between 10 and 16 years old is considered too irresponsible to give
consent to sex, whilst being responsible enough to be held to account
for any sexual activity they themselves instigate with someone under
16. Two 15 year olds having mutually consensual sex are thus both
victims *and* perpetrators of sexual abuse.
This is because the entire British "justice" system is illogical and
based on a punitive approach in every case. It is, effectively,
official state bullying. You could, in fact, rename it as the British
system of "state sponsored bullying", not justice. Exactly the same
mindset is present in the Establishment of today as once sent minor
offenders for transportation. It is the same mindset, though
attenuated *some*what (i.e. minus the shouting), as present in the
guise of a "Roland Freisler" character, which is hardly surprising,
given our close family relationship with the Teutons and our penchant
for megalomanic sadism.
Today there was yet another prisoner set free after eight years in the
pokey because British "justice" f***ed up yet again. Moreover, Dominic
Lawson is writing in the Independent: "Our system of justice is not
just rotten -- it is lethal"
Oh and Crippen was most likely innocent. DNA showed that the body
found was most likely that of a man.
