I put to you the same point that I put to Mike. In terms of car
driving, how can you ensure the safety of your own life without
also ensuring the safety of others?

By driving a bigger heavier safer vehicle so when you cut in
sharply on a Fiat 500 you don't even notice you've forced him
off the road.

So once again you use a single incident to argue that all police
driver training is dangerous?

What single incident?
I merely gave an example of the sort of possible happening where
the driver of one vehicle was safe doing a manouvre that made the
road unsafe for another vehicle. It's the sort of incident that
has been reported hundreds of times over the years. I would be
astonished if you as an ex traffic rat had never seen it at least
once.

If you are cut up by an Eddie Stobart lorry - do you
start arguing that all Eddie Stobart lorries should be removed
from the road?

No.
I start arguing the driver should be banned until he takes a test
and proves he is safe to be on the road

So why are you arguing that that an incident involving a driving
school car

I gave that as an example when you denied the danger

There is danger on all public roads all the time. I've never
suggested that there is zero risk from police driver training - but
there isn't zero risk from milk floats is there?

There is a provable risk of death and serious injury where higher
speeds are involved. The numerous government road safety campaigns
reiterate the fact every few months

In that case - come up with some evidence to show that police driver training causes accidents. Neither you, nor Cynic nor Kim nor Mike have come up with anything other than your couple of anecdotes. Nothing at all to demonstrate that there is a problem that requires a solution. That's because there isn't a problem - and no solution is needed.

means that the entire system of advanced police driver training is
dangerous?

Because the entire system of advanced driver training for the police
rests on them driving in a way to make them a risk to other road
users.

On the contrary - it is conducted with road safety as the primary
aim.

That would be the case if they stuck to the legal speed limits but
they don't and they don't use sirens and lights when exceeding those
limits to warn other road users. Potential killers all of them.

I take it then that you fully support speed cameras and believe that anyone who exceeds a speed limit is driving dangerously?
