I have an audio gadget that I sent to a repair company to be repaired
but they let me down. They've had by device for two and a half months and still have not made any progress in fixing it. So I wrote to them asking them to return my device. They responded by email saying they will return it but I haven't received anything and that was two weeks ago.
I know that I have to give them ample opportunity to return my device
but now - in the event that I will never get my device back - either through lost in the mail or whatever - I'd appreciate advice as to how I can make the company pay for the replacement cost of the device. Should I issue a county court summons?
or is there a better procedure? thanks for any advice.
You will be very lucky to find an audio engineer prepared to repair anything these days. It is not economic unless it is a very high grade unit. By the time they have factored in telephone calls, trying to source spares and the cost of parts themselves it simply isn't worth while.
Not what you asked but a fact.
