High Schoolers Accused Of Sending Naked Pictures To Each OtherNigel, why do you keep posting copy and paste stories from the US? These

GREENSBURG, Pa. -- Three teenage girls who allegedly sent nude or semi-
nude cell phone pictures of themselves, and three male classmates in a
Greensburg Salem High School who received them, are charged with child
pornography.
Police said the girls are 14 or 15, and the boys charged with
receiving the photos are 16 or 17. None are being identified because
most criminal cases in Pennsylvania juvenile courts are not public.
"It was a self portrait taken of a juvenile female taking pictures of
her body, nude," said Capt. George Seranko of the Greensburg Police
Department.
Police said school officials learned of the photos in October. That's
when a student was seen using a cell phone during school hours, which
violates school rules. The phone was seized, and the photos were found
on it, police said. When police investigated, other phones with more
pictures were seized.
"Taking nude pictures of yourself, nothing good can come out of it,"
said Seranko.
The Greensburg Salem School District issued a statement on Tuesday
saying there was “no evidence of inappropriate activity on school
grounds or during the school day other than the violation of the
(school's) electronic devices policy.”
The school district said it only became aware of the arrest of the
students on Monday and will continue to work cooperatively with
police, as well as continue to enforce its electronic devices policy
and educate students on the dangers of inappropriate use of electronic
devices.
Police said the girls are being charged with manufacturing,
disseminating or possessing child pornography while the boys face
charges of possession.
"It's very dangerous," said Seranko. "Once it's on a cell phone, that
cell phone can be put on the Internet where everyone in the world can
get access to that juvenile picture. You don't realize what you are
doing until it's already done."

sad stories are ten a penny. Underage girl takes pictures of herself,
gets charged with manufacturing child pornography. Guy in trouble. Etc etc.
It's at least the third time you've posted a similar story in the past 2
months. It really has no relevance to uk.legal.
You do know there is a us.legal usenet group don't you? If you don't
I'll give you the google address.
I just think you post all this here to make it a repository for postings
as critest and your other (now closed) website attracts little traffic
and you want them somewhere for future referencing.
Can't you post in more relevant newsgroups? Or even start your own? You
keep flooding this newsgroup with irrelevance.

My forum is on hold, because the traffic was too high, for the
package.
My site has never been closed, and the forum does, in fact, exist, but
is not yet open ... it will be soon, contained within the 2009
revamp.
There is no UKL, as far as the internet is concerned - it is a global
issue. You could have those images, of these girls, on your PC, for
all I know.
These cases (involving legal action) are not common, they are quite
rare.
What happens in the USA is often adopted here.
You are correct on the archiving aspects (although, I archive every
piece of news I find, locally).
Why would you wish to shut me up - who are you? ...
.. and finally, I can.
So ... I hear what you say, my friend, but I do not concur :)
WM
somewhere more appropriate. I keep seeing (or reading!) all these posts
that look like little else than a collection of stories from around the
world. You rarely add to what you copy and paste.
As for who I am, well I'm just another poster to be honest. No-one
special, just pointing out you keep posting off topic. Being underage
and indulging in sexual behaviour doesn't make it on-topic. For the
reasons above.

you.
They all speak for themselves (and I do add a comment, now and then).
I am more interested in responses (or lack of) and I have told you
this before.
WM
just because they involve children and sex.
What happens elsewhere in the world may be important to you but it
doesn't make it "on topic" for a UK newsgroup.

Robbie,
(1) Minors and sex, and the related field, all involve legal issues.
(2) They do not have to be UKL OT (that is UKLM) .... but they usually
are.
(3) I decide whether it is a valid topic or not.
Why do you have difficulty with these points?
WM
I have no difficulty. Your problem is you *decide* what it is you are
going to post about and I'm just trying to say that there are more
relevant forums in which to discuss these matters.
You obviously know that you are headstrong and you make your own agenda.
No-one gets in the way of that. And you never see any other point of
view except your own. Perhaps I shouldn't pick at you as there are far
worse posters than yourself for posting off topic.

Robbie
But I like it here :)
I always take on-board other people's point of view.
That is is how I know as much as I do :)
