I believe he does have a right if the information is in the public
interest.

Why do you think he did what he did, rather than following the Civil
Service guidelines on what to do if you found something you were not
happy with - an internal whistleblower's guide?

Any chance that it was because he wasn't really public spirited and
his interests lay in helping the Tories rather than the public.

Of course Cameron and Green couldn't have put him right on the
correct thing to do - could they?

Alan Johnson, on Question Time last night, made further reference to
Green having 'induced' his mole to leak this information. ISTM that
he wouldn't have made that accusation unless he was in possession of
more facts than have yet come to light. If Green *had* been doing
this then it puts an entirely different light on matters and
certainly could lead to a conspiracy charge.
You cannot fight a sleazy and corrupt government by indulging in
similar activities.

Why do you wish to take the word of Alan Johnson before the facts are
known about this case? After all, the Home Secretary, who presumably
should know what her shock troops are up to, seems to be completely in
the dark!

I'm not 'taking his word' - I'm merely suggesting that it is unlikely that he would use such emotive terminology unless he knew he was on pretty steady ground in using it!

Ret.

LOL! I can see why they retired you.
