Greetings to everybody i am new to this forum and this is my first post.
I am currently suing a client of mine who owes me tens of thousands of
pounds for work carried out on his property. I am the director of a
small limited company and the outcome of the impending court action
means all or nothing for us.
Without reciting the entire case i can confirm that we have irrefutable
evidence to support our claim and it seems extremely likely that we will
be on the winning side. However, in order to secure a winning result we
have obtained a witness to all proceedings and intend to call this
person to give evidence.
The witness is our clients estranged wife. Recently she informed me
that her husband had contacted her and is offering favours and gifts if
she will testify to a new statement which his solicitors will draft(she
only need sign it). the content of which would be to revoke her
statement which she did for our company.
I am no expert and am out of my depth a little but i do suspect the law
would consider his actions as perverting the cause of justice.
He has put pen to paper and has made her an offer in her divorce
settlement, except the offer is subject to my company dropping the case
against him.
As a company we are struggling to keep going during these difficult
times and we would appreciate any help, advice or comments you may give
