I notice the Police spokeswoman didn't once mention the fact that the
deceased jumped a red light?
by a significant margin, she might have seen him and been able to do
an emergency stop. Her driving was so dangerous that I don;t think
it would have been reasonable for the police spokewoman to have
referred to the cyclist's bad behaviour.
But, if the cyclist had not broken the law (and riding through a red light
is pretty cardinal one), and went through a red light he would be alive
today. He at least shares a considerable burden for his death.
