AFAIK Police are trained to not use stingers when the road isnt straight.

Sounds like the ideal time to use it - more chance of dead criminals! :)

Well when the prisons are so overcrowded ... every little helps.

UK police don't seem to use that PIT manoeuvre so often seen in US police chase shows - how come?
