Assuming this data to be true (which given it's source is questionable), that's approx 5m visits (remember any viewing of any image is a 'download' in legal terms) to CP sites pa.

Just to point out, the data is mainly based on downloads made via the Gnutella p2p file sharing network, specifically Limewire, since that is by far the most popular application on that network, rather than websites.

With a specially modified version of Limewire these downloads have been tracked over a period of just under 3 years (back to April 2005 when the operation mentioned in the original report began). Using this criteria, the figures could actually be higher - a lot higher - since not every download is going to be tracked given that there are about 5 million people connected to the network at any one time and there is no central server.
